Swim Program Guidelines
The Oakridge Pool Swim Lesson Program provides instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills. The program is specifically designed to give children a positive and fun learning experience. We teach aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression, with a focus on swimming pool safety in and around the water. Please be patient, as children progress at their own pace. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kelley Mendoza, the Swim Lesson Coordinator.
Rules for Registration & Classes:
There will be NO OPEN SWIM during swim lessons. (including the baby pool). This is for the safety of our students and instructors.
Parents are asked to walk their child to the pool area, designated for each swim level.
We ask parents to stay in the chairs around the perimeter of the pool. In the event of an emergency, our lifeguards and instructors need quick access to the pool.
Children will receive an evaluation on the last day of class. This evaluation will inform you of where your child should be placed for the upcoming session.
Parents of children ages 10 and under MUST remain at the pool at all times.
Due to the size of classes, we will only be offering make-up classes if more than 2 classes in each session are missed due to the pool being closed for weather (lightening only) or if it is the facilities fault that class is cancelled.
We thank you for your cooperation in the following these guidelines.
