Oakridge Estates Swim Club Rules

  1. When you arrive at the pool, please sign in on the log sheet located at the first guard station, and please show your pool pass to the guard. The guard may also go around and check pool passes during break periods. Please be sure to bring your pass and have it with you at all times. It is recommended that you attach your passes to your beach bag so that they are always visible and handy. As the summer progresses, the guards will learn our families and the pass check will become less necessary.

  2. Weather permitting, the pool hours will be as follows:

  3. The pool will be open from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm while North Royalton Schools are in session. (During these weeks, the swim team practices start at 8:00 pm)

  4. The pool will be closed if the outside temperature is below 65°F.

  5. All swimmers will be asked to get out of the pool in the case of any sound of thunder. There is a 30 minute assessment period after the sound of thunder. After 30 consecutive minutes of no thunder, the pool will reopen.

  6. There will be a 15 minute rest period once every hour which must be observed by all swimmers under 18 years of age. Only adults are permitted to swim during a rest period.

  7. Swim team members are not allowed to swim laps during rest period. At all times during any rest period, those swimmers that are at rest are not to sit on the edge of the pool, nor any children allowed to sit on the steps.

  8. When one lifeguard is on duty for an extended period of time, he or she may on occasion call a complete rest period, in which neither adults nor children are allowed in the pool.

  9. All accidents should be reported immediately to the lifeguard on duty.

  10. The use of Frisbees, small balls, or similar items is prohibited.

  11. Floats and rafts will not be allowed.

  12. Children 11 years or younger must be accompanied by a responsible 16-year-old (or older) or an adult.

  13. Use of the baby pool is limited to children 6 years of age or younger, and they must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Pool employees are not to be asked to watch such children.

  14. The following actions will not be permitted and are cause for ejection from the pool:

  15. Diving in the shallow end of the pool.

  16. Running or pushing on the decks around the pool.

  17. Wrestling or rough play in the pool area.

  18. Profanity or other offensive language.

  19. Only one person is permitted on the diving board at one time. Only face-forward diving is permitted. No diving off the sides of the diving board will be permitted. Any rough play or wild diving from the diving board will be cause for ejection from the pool.

 

THESE DIVING BOARD RULES ARE FOR YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS. THE DIVING WELL HAS CURVED WALLS, AND IT IS THE DEEPEST ONLY IN THE CENTER.

Location:

Oakridge Pool is located just east of State Road, between Sprague Road on the north and Oakridge Drive on the south. From State Road, it can be reached by turning east onto an unmarked access road just south of Sprague Road.

If the asphalt parking area is full please park on Maplegrove Avenue and take the access footpath to get to the pool.
